About

R.E. Hellinger hails from the North American south. One of these is a lie: He's a former cultist, aspiring politician, and was voted 'Best Antichrist' among his peers. He enjoys the hot, humid weather of New Orleans and waiting at desolate crossroads past midnight in the hopes of striking a deal with some gullible soul.

Hellinger's work is greatly inspired by decades of Gothic literature, Shirley Jackson, gore, queer experiences, Halloween, religion, and the wild desolation of human nature. His stories aim to entice the reader to take the hand of the monstrous and to tread places slightly strange, slightly dangerous, promising all the while that the experience will be delightful.

Hellinger has partnered with fellow horror grotesque, K.M. Claude in creating the Two Dead Queers zines 'Guillozine' and 'Quaranzine'. His story 'Carnal Bodies' was featured in Red Room Press' 'Year's Best Hardcore Horror Vol 4'.

Currently, Hellinger is taking some time to dabble in fanfiction and edit their novel-in-progress 'NIGH'.
